� - z <br /> �JN`voFH1b��. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI I _ _ STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> • <br /> ''♦,ATE OF�NF'�'�- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 174 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO EQUALITY HI TO <br /> SUPPORT THE 13m ANNUAL PRIDE PARADE AND FESTIVAL. <br /> WHEREAS,Equality HI is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization whose mission is to <br /> proactively engage in creating an inclusive and diverse queer community through aloha, <br /> leadership,resources, services, and education; and <br /> WHEREAS,Equality HI is providing fiscal sponsorship to Hawai`i Island LGBTQ <br /> Pride's 13th Annual Pride Parade and Festival,which brings members of the LGBTQ <br /> community together to affirm their fundamental rights and place in Hawai`i County; and <br /> WHEREAS,the 13th Annual Pride Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, June 28, <br /> 2025, at the Mo`oheau Park bandstand; and <br /> WHEREAS, Equality HI is requesting funds to cover expenses for sound equipment <br /> rental fees,volunteer materials,keiki area and activities, security, and porta-potty rentals for the <br /> 13th Annual Pride Parade and Festival; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that promote <br /> family-friendly events and activities in a drug-free and alcohol-free environment; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Equality HI to support the 13th Annual Pride Parade and <br /> Festival. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
