r <br /> \LW; <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII f,. .=°:<:#;•: STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 1▪TE G• F•H►� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 17 6 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD PLACE OF PUNA TO SUPPORT ITS ANCHOR POINT YOUTH <br /> CENTER. <br /> WHEREAS,the Neighborhood Place of Puna is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization <br /> whose mission is empower families and communities in Hawai`i County by building strong <br /> foundations through healthy relationships that value each person's uniqueness; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Neighborhood Place of Puna manages a facility called Anchor Point <br /> Youth Center as a drop-in facility dedicated to assisting youth, aged 14 to 24,who are homeless <br /> or at risk of becoming homeless; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Neighborhood Place of Puna is requesting funds to cover expenses for <br /> food,hygiene items, a desktop computer and desk, garden and art supplies, and blankets for its <br /> Anchor Point Youth Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support youth <br /> programs that promote public safety, education, and responsible lifestyle choices in alcohol- and <br /> drug-free environments; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Neighborhood Place of Puna to support its Anchor Point <br /> Youth Center. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
