A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR USE OF THE KONA TROLLEY FOR
THE WEST HAWAI‘I COUNTY BAND DURING THE KING KAMEHAMEHA DAY PARADE.
WHEREAS, the West Hawai‘i County Band, a civic band and sub-unit of the Hawai‘i County Band, is comprised of local musicians in Kona that perform at monthly concerts, civic events, cultural
events, and parades on the west side of Hawai‘i island; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for the rental of the Kona Trolley to transport the band musicians and their instruments to perform at the King Kamehameha
Day parade, which is scheduled for June 7, 2025; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to pay for
the use of the Kona Trolley for the West Hawai‘i County Band during the King Kamehameha Day parade on June 7, 2025.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:
