Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 138-25,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 138-25,transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 237, dated April 17, 2025, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of
Hawai`i Department of Transportation, Pursuant to Hawai`i Revised Statutes Section 46-7,for a
grant to the County of Hawai`i Mass Transit Agency.
This resolution allows for the receipt of$270,000 of federally-derived funds for the planning of the
Pahoa Transit Hub.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 138-25, and
recommends its adoption.
