N,, ; <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI I STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 186 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HALE MUA <br /> CULTURAL GROUP TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR THE 2025 KING <br /> KAMEHAMEHA DAY CELEBRATION PARADE AND HO`OLAULE`A. <br /> WHEREAS, Hale Mua Cultural Group (HMCG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> dedicated to preserving and perpetuating Native Hawaiian culture and collaborating with groups <br /> that restore and maintain historical sites and offer educational programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, HMCG is requesting funds to assist with expenses for off-duty police <br /> officers,parade marshals,publications, handouts, print advertising, and radio promotions, which <br /> will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and <br /> the arts, educational concerns, and public health and welfare of the people and the environment; <br /> now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br /> accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br /> amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the <br /> Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to HMCG for the expenses and purposes <br /> identified in"Exhibit A,"a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br /> reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $8,553 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $8,553 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $8,553 <br /> Public Programs <br /> 115 Misc.
