Additional <br /> funds in the amount of$78,671 are being provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of <br /> Justice Programs for training,travel, specialized gear and equipment for the Police Department's <br /> Special Response Team (SRT). <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Police Department's JAG-SRT Capability Enhancement Grant account, <br /> bringing the total appropriation to $129,028. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be <br /> placed on the May 21, 2025 Council agenda in order to expedite this transaction.
