Aloha e Hawai'i County Council:
I am pleased and honored to submit my statement in support and consideration of Mr. David
Bruno as a nominee to our Hawai'i County Board of Ethics.
David has deep; decades long; 'ohana roots on Hawai'i Island, and he always knew he would
return to Hawai'i to live out the rest of his life and give back to the place he'd always carried in
his heart. We are so fortunate to have him return to the island, dedicate himself to causes that
are near and dear to him,to help make a difference in the lives of our resident's here!
I'd met David at Wildfire Safety Advocates of Waikoloa's first community meeting, in March
2024. He was deeply committed to THE number one priority for Waikoloa community, a-cause
I'd aligned myself with many years ago, and we've since become friends. He has been engaged
with numerous important issues here and around the island serving as a volunteer, attending
meetings and being reliable advocate. He stood out as a quick study and he continues to
champion causes he's genuinely committed to and strives to be a catalyst for with regards to the
betterment of fellow residents,the district and the island.
He is truly a gentle man, packed with impeccable virtues; of both tenacity and perseverance;
and I feel his acuity will be a tremendous asset to the Hawai'i County Board of Ethics.
I respectfully ask you to consider David's nomination; in hopes you will concur; he is not only
most qualified, but the Board of Ethics deserves he be seated at the table.
