Aloha County Council Members,
I am honored to submit this letter in strong support of David Bruno's nomination to the Hawaii County
Board of Ethics. Having worked closely with David over the past year on wildfire resilience efforts in
Waikoloa Village, I can confidently attest to his unwavering integrity,fairness, and commitment to ethical
leadership.
David approaches every issue with intention, compassion, and a deep respect for due process. His
ability to remain calm, objective, and principled, even in the face of contentious or complex challenges,
sets him apart. He consistently seeks diverse perspectives, ensuring that underrepresented voices are
heard before forming conclusions.
In our work together, I've witnessed David's exceptional judgment firsthand. He listens carefully,weighs
facts impartially, and never shies away from difficult conversations. His decisions are rooted in
transparency, equity, and a steadfast moral compass-qualities essential for upholding the public's trust
in this role.
For these reasons, David Bruno is an outstanding choice for the Board of Ethics. His appointment would
be a tremendous asset to Hawaii County, and I urge you to confirm his nomination without reservation.
