Aloha,
My name is Leilani Kerr Aldrich, a native hawaiian leasee residing on Hawaiian Homestead Land in
Pana'ewa Ag. lots homestead division on Hawai'i Island.
I am writing in support of Bill 44,which will reduce the tax on the value of our native hawaiian homestead
home value to a minimum of$200/year.The"price of paradise" has resulted in more hawaiians living on
the mainland than in their native homeland. Every bit of support that we can get from our elected officials
helps.As a native hawaiian, I want my children and grandchildren to continue living in our homeland. I
am truly grateful and blessed to be the successor of my grandmother and mother's hawaiian homestead
property in Pana'ewa, and I pray I will be able to continue passing this 3 generation hawaiian homestead
land to my children and their children. I ask that you vote in favor of supporting Bill 44 and thank you
in advance for doing so. .
