Subject: Bill 47 Hosted vacation rentals
Dear county council members,
I have lived on the Big island for 50 years and 39 years of this time has been hosting visitors in our Legal BnB and vacation
rentals. It allowed us to raise our children successfully.However,this bill restricts families including myself on agricultural
lands to host guest.Why?
It should be our right to make a honest living.Hawaii is ungodly expensive and our agriculture lands in puna is marginal.
Vacation rentals is a very green industry and should be excepted with open arms.Tourism is what makes the Big Island work.I
oppose this bill and oppose two council members disregardingthe law.
