Subject: Changes to TAR REGISTRATION
Dear Council Members,
As a resident with hosted Airbnb property, I want to express my frustration and anger about the past year and a half of
proposed changes to short term rentals that have been going back-and-forth through the county. Myself and many of my
neighbors have short term rental cabins,and we depend on the income for the ability to even keep our properties and
continue to live in our home.We are already taxed by the county and the state,and we lose property tax benefits as well
because we rent out part of our homes. Enough is enough!
The worry and uncertainty that we have been going through this last couple of years has kept all of us on edge. Can you
imagine not knowing if you're going be able to keep your home because the council may decide their own ideas how we
get to use our property?We are taxed enough.We pay more property tax than others. Now the state is going to add
more tourist taxes. Paid parking downtown!We're sick of it.
SICK OF IT!
If you want to see a genuine grass movement to vote every one of you out of office you are going to push us to that
point. Enough is enough! Uncertainty over the economy,and how it is going to effect tourism,the Trump administrations
treatment of people visiting this country,the coming inflation due to tariffs,and NOW you want to add more fees and
taxes on top of everything else? Stop it. We are squeezed enough.We have enough problems to worry about aleady.
