Subject: Registration system for short-term vacation rentals
I run a vacation rental business in Hilo City.
I am in full support of the registration system in this deliberation.
I find it strange that there was no registration requirement up until now.
For safety reasons, I live in the building with my guests, and I meet them face to face when they check in,
hand over the key, and explain the house rules.
Tourism is a major industry on the Big Island of Hawaii. I would appreciate your continued guidance so
that all tourists visiting the island can have a comfortable stay.
