Dear Chair,Vice Chair,and honorable Members of the County Council,
President:
Andria );I'lis My name is Andria Ellis, and I am writing in strong support of the resolution to grant
Vice President: funding to Hilo Bayfront Trails,Inc. for the purchase of an Eco-Counter trail-use counter.

Hilo Bayfront Trails is a valuable community asset that provides residents and visitors

public health,it is essential that we collect accurate,objective data on trail usage.

James Eller The acquisition of an Eco-Counter trail-use counter will allow Hilo Bayfront Trails, Inc.
Directors: to monitor patterns of use over time, assess the success of completed trail segments, and
Leonard Bisel justify future funding and development. These counters are proven tools in other
