SUBJECT: Formation of an Ad Hoc Committee to review the Public Access, Open Space,
and Natural Resources Preservation Commission (PONC)process
Pursuant to Hawai`i Revised Statutes section 92-2.5 and Rule No. 7 of the Rules of Procedure
and Organization for the Council of the County of Hawai`i, I am requesting the creation of an Ad
Hoc Committee, also known as a"permitted interaction group"to review and make
recommendations to improve the functionality of the PONC process.
The scope of this Ad Hoc Committee will be as follows:
1. To discuss, evaluate and review the functionality of the PONC process legislation prior to
introduction at council.
Please allow 15 minutes for discussion and selection of the ad hoc committee members.
