Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement
The Department of Finance seeks to enter into a lease agreement for a two-year term, with the
option to renew the lease for one additional year to utilize the premise for the County of Hawai`i
Elderly Activities Program,Adult Nutrition Services.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a two-year, multi-year lease
agreement with one option year with the Ocean View Community Association, Inc., for
approximately 3,200 square feet of space for use Monday through Friday between the hours of
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The estimated cost is $450 per month.

A. REQUEST:
Please prepare County Council submittal for County Elderly Activities Division to lease space at the Ocean
View Community Center for their Adult Nutrition Services Program.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The County of Hawaii has been leasing space at the St. Jude Episcopal Mission in Ocean View since 2006.
The County intends to move to the Ocean View Community Center located at 92-8924 Leilani Circle, where
they will lease approximately 3,200 square feet of the main hall for use Monday through Friday between the
hours of 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. They intend to lease the space for two years with an option for an additional
year. This space is significantly larger than the 600 square feet they previously utilized.
