A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF LOT 1-A OF ROYAL PATENT GRANT NUMBER 4661 TO JOHN WATT AND D. FORBES, BEING TAX MAP KEY: (3) 6-4-006:050, SITUATED AT PUʻUKAPU, DISTRICT OF SOUTH
KOHALA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAI‘I, FROM MERIL MULIERRE CACERES AND LORA TAYLOR DE OLIVEIRA
WHEREAS, Meril Mulierre Caceres and Lora Taylor De Oliveira are the owners of Lot 1-A of Royal Patent Grant Number 4661 to John Watt and D. Forbes, containing an area of 12,000 square
feet, more or less, identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 6-4-006:050, situated at Puʻukapu, in the District of South Kohala, County and State of Hawai‘i, as delineated on Exhibit “A” attached;
and
WHEREAS, the owners are desirous of donating the subject parcel to the County of Hawai‘i for drainage maintenance purposes; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 12 of the Hawai‘i County Charter, provides that the council may accept gifts, which include the donation of real property, on behalf of the County of
Hawai‘i; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 12 of the Hawai‘i County Charter and Article 30, Section 2-162.2 of the Hawaiʻi
County Code, the County of Hawai‘i accepts the donation of Lot 1-A of Royal Patent Grant Number 4661 to John Watt and D. Forbes, containing an area of 12,000 square feet, more or less,
identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 6-4-006:050, delineated on Exhibit “A” attached hereto, for drainage maintenance purposes, and finding that it is in the public interest to accept the
donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to the owners acknowledging this generous donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to (1) Mayor C. Kimo Alameda, PhD; (2) the Department of Finance, Property Management Division;
(3) the Department of Public Works; and (4) Meril Mulierre Caceres and Lora Taylor De Oliverira, 8104 Red Arrow Ct., Milwaukee, WI 53213-3022.
