No. 292/Res. No. 182-25 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 182-25, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 182-25, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication <br />No. 292, dated May 2, 2025, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the University of <br />Hawaii, Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation. <br />This resolution allows for the receipt of $1,977,568 of federally -derived funds to be used towards the <br />Kuakini Heights Affordable Housing Project. <br />Housing Administrator Kehaulani Costa was present and provided background on this measure. <br />Committee Members Ashley L. Kierkiewicz and Rebecca Villegas commented in support. <br />Committee Member Jenn Kagiwada asked if all their federal funding was secure and there was no plan <br />for it to be taken back by the government.
