Re: Letter in Support of County Council Resolution Implementing Settlement
Deaz Mr. Chairman and Members of the Hawaii County Council:
On behalf of the Kesuhou Master Homeowners Association ("KMHOA"), William
S. Taylor, Walter Kriewald and Harold S- Bowers, all Plaintiffs in Civil No. 95-006K, KMHOA e1
al. v. ('ounty of Hawaii et al., please be advised that the foregoing Plaintiffs support passage of
the above-referenced Resolution of the Hawaii County Council. This Resolution is intended to
implement the terms contained in the written Settlement Agreement by and between the Plaintiffs,
the County of Hawaii and certain County officials (collectively the "County"), and Kamehameha
Schools and related entities (collectively the "Bishop Estate"), the remaining parties in this
litigation. Except for the Plaintiffs' claims against Watanabe, Ing and Kawashima ("WIK"), all
claims against the County and Bishop Estate have been settled and all remaining parties in this
litigation have executed a Stipulation For Dismissal With Prejudice to be filed with the Circuit
Court Of The Third Circuit.
We ask that the Hawaii County Council adopt this Resolution.
