Aloha,
I believe you should wait on any legislation relating to Vacation Rentals until you have the economic study back and time
to review it.
The registration fees are way too high. The state DCCA registers businesses for $50 start and $13.50 renewal, all day
long. Perhaps the County is not as competent as the state to do that efficiently, but how about $75 first time and $25
annually? $10,000 fines seem a bit excessive.
Perhaps an amnesty for properties that have been around a while but are not aligning with current zoning/building.
I urge you to table Bill 47 until after the economic study is complete and amend before proceeding.
