Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year, for a
three-year agreement for ESRI software. This agreement will provide GIS server components
and configurations, desktop software, and ArcGIS online capabilities for Geographical
Information Systems (GIS), permit systems, and emergency services for various departments
countywide. The annual cost is anticipated to be $180,400 plus applicable taxes.

A. REQUEST:
Authorizing the paymerif of funds of a later fiscal year and of more that one fiscal year for a multi -year
agreement of ESRI Software for the Department of Information Technology.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
ESRI Software currently utilized as the primary software for the Geographical Information Systems.(GIS) for
the County of Hawaii. The majority of county departments are supported by this software and it supports our
permit system and emergency services.
The ESRI agreement provides GIS server components and configurations, desktop software and ArcGIS
online SaaS capabilities.
The proposed 3-year contract term is set at a fixed annual rate of $180,400.00 + sales tax for years 1; 2 and
3. The proposed fixed rate for this agreement has been budgeted by the Department of Information
Technology.
