Resolution Pursuant to Hawaii County Code & 2-188

Dear Chairman Inaba and Hawaii County Council Members:
Transmitted herewith for Council approval is a Resolution and its Exhibit A, pursuant to
Hawaii County Code § 2-188, authorizing indemnification of the two (2) former County
employees who are named as individual defendants in the above -referenced lawsuit. Trial is set
to begin on July 29, 2025.
We respectfully request to be placed on the Committee Meeting agenda for June 17,
2025, followed by County Council Meeting on July 9, 2025.
