COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 223 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HO`OULU LAHUI FOR <br />ITS HO`OULU MEAKANU PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, Ho`oulu Lahui is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to <br />awakening Hawaiian culture, values, beliefs, and lifestyle in collaboration with the community to <br />achieve unity, harmony, and total well-being; and <br />WHEREAS, Ho`oulu Lahui is requesting funds for garden supplies, including soil, pots, <br />fertilizers, and slug bait, as well as for native plants such as `ulu, ti, kalo, and larger native trees, <br />which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture <br />and the arts, needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, and <br />public health and welfare of the people and the environment; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Ho`oulu Lahui for the expenses and purposes <br />identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,750 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,750 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $2,750 <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc.
