A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION WITH EXPENSES RELATING TO TREE REMOVAL AND TENNIS COURT IMPROVEMENTS IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 9.
WHEREAS, Spencer Park at ‘Ōhaiʻula Beach and Kamehameha Park bring families and communities together; and
WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Parks and Recreation is to support public park improvements for gatherings and activities that support fitness, relaxation, and family
connection in a safe space; and
WHEREAS, the Council District 9 office seeks to support the Department of Parks and Recreation by alleviating expenses for tree removal and tennis court improvements; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation for expenses
related to tree removal support and services at Spencer Park at ‘Ōhaiʻula Beach and Kamehameha Park, and improvements to the Kamehameha tennis courts.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
