My name is Minnie Cain, I am the Program Coordinator for Anchor Point Youth Center.
I write fbfyou in
support of Resolution 176-25.
The funding provided by this resolution will allow Anchor Point Youth Center to continue serving our
communities young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and who are navigating life
without a stable support network.
As a young girl, I often experienced an unstable living environment. I know firsthand how important it is
to have consistent support. When you're not sure where your next meal will come from or if you'll have
basic things like shampoo or clean clothes, that kind of support becomes everything.
Anchor Point Youth Center is here for young people when they need help, when they need food, when
they just need someone to show up and care. With the funding from this resolution, we'll be able to
provide that consistency and continue offering essential items such as food and hygiene products. We'll
also be able to provide art and gardening supplies. Seemingly simple things that, in reality, give young
people a way to express themselves, heal, and feel a sense of accomplishment.
Please support this resolution for the young people in our community.
