Aloha Council Members,
My name is MichaelZamarripa and I am a staff member at Anchor Pointo oUth
Center. I am writing in strong support of Resolution 176-25.
At Anchor Point Youth Center, we work closely with youth between the ages of 14-24 who are
homeless, or at risk of homelessness. At Anchor Point Youth Center, we strive to provide our
young people with a safer, welcoming space that allows for their voices to be heard. Through
trusted relationships, we connect them to case management and essential community
resources like housing, healthcare, mental health care, and job opportunities.
This funding would help provide food, hygiene items, and other essential supplies that
directly support the youth we serve. These aren't just necessities that can help restore dignity
and provide stability during uncertain times. It's also about showing these young people that
they matter.
I've seen firsthand how something as simple as a warm meal or a clean set of clothes can
change a young person's outlook. These small acts often become the first step toward
healing, trust, and a path forward.
I respectfully ask for your support of Resolution 176-25. Your vote would be an investment in
the well-being and future of our community's youth.
