REPORT OF THE
COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 301/Res. No. 189-25
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 189-25, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 189-25, transmitted by Mayor C. Kimo Alameda via Communication No. 301,
dated May 2, 2025, commits to funding the cost items agreed upon by the employers and the United
Public Workers Unit 01 and employees excluded from Bargaining Unit 01 for the contract period
July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2029.
This resolution provides estimated costs over the four years of the new contract resulting from
across-the-board increases would be $24,463,678.
Finance Director Diane Nakagawa was present.
Committee Member Rebecca Villegas asked how costs were determined for bargaining units still in
arbitration. Ms. Nakagawa replied costs were determined by an across-the-board three to four percent
increase.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 189-25, and
recommends its adoption.
