A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR THE HAWAIIAN
PARADISE PARK FIRE STATION.
WHEREAS, the Hawaiʻi Fire Department (HFD) provides fire protection and suppression, pre-hospital emergency medical services, land and sea search and rescue, hazardous materials response,
ocean safety, fire prevention, and public education for the County of Hawaiʻi; and
WHEREAS, the HFD strives to improve departmental readiness for its emergency and hazard responses; and
WHEREAS, the HFD is requesting funds to support the maintenance and replacement of essential equipment at the Hawaiian Paradise Park Fire Station that includes flotation rescue devices,
hose washers, air conditioning units, and kitchen appliances; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Hawaiʻi Fire Department to purchase equipment
for the Hawaiian Paradise Park Fire Station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
