I want to express the urgency for the
Community of Waikola to have more than one road to leave the area in the case of an emergency
evacuation is being broadcast.
My family lives at the furthest most north area of the Village. We have experienced an evacuation of the
area, it was not an easy process, and the time it took to reach a safe zone was not prudent. We are
increasingly seeing more homes and the community is growing everyyear. This growth will cause the
next evacuation to be even more daunting and many lives could be in peril.
We want to stand in support of Communication 159.41 to amend Bill No. 32 Draft 2.
We thank you for attention and support funding of this bill to address the 2nd road out of Waikoloa.
Please reply regarding this issue. We are counting on you to address this issue of our community safety.
