SUBJECT: Formation of Ad Hoc Committee or "Permitted Interaction Group" for the
selection and hiring of a County Auditor
Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 92-2.5 and Rule No. 7 of the Rules of Procedure
and Organization for the Council of the County of Hawaii, I am requesting the creation of an Ad
Hoc Committee, also known as a "permitted interaction group" for the selection and appointment
of a successor County Auditor.
The scope of this Ad Hoc Committee will be as follows:
1. To review and evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and score applicants in order to
identify a shortlist of qualified candidates for the position of County Auditor.
2. To select finalists from the shortlist for interviews and a final decision by the full
Council.
Please allow 15 minutes for discussion and selection of the ad hoc committee members.
In the essence of time I am requesting that this be placed on the next committee agenda.
