Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 214-25, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 214-25, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 336, dated May 29, 2025, authorizes the payment of funds of later fiscal years to enter into a
multi -year agreement for ESRI Software for the Department of Information Technology.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year ageement with an approximate annual
cost of $180,400 plus taxes, to provide Geographical Information Systems (GIS) server components and
configurations, desktop software, and ArcGIS online capabilities for GIS, permit systems, and
emergency services for various departments countywide.
Information Technology Director Corey Stone was present and provided some background.
Committee Member James E. Hustace commented in support of this measure and inquired as to how
many departments will be utilizing this system. Mr. Stone replied that currently there are departments
that use their own GIS system, and he is unable to provide a specific number at this time.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 214-25, and
recommends its adoption.
