COUNTY CLERK
COUNTY OF HAWAI'I
RECEIVED
Aloha County Council, Time 12rt_ By
Please support Bill 24 and restore the 1,200 foot setback. Date JUN 0 3 2-
Planning has already approved of the 1,200 foot setback
Since emergency services were already accounted for, the county council should not have taken out the
1,200 foot setback because of the Fire Chief's testimony. It was good that the council decided to restore
the setback to 600 feet. But this is still times the radiation according to "Inverse squared law."
In this physics Law [1 ] radiation is proportional to 1 over the Distance squared.
Compared to the EMF radiation at setback of
1,200 feet away:
1,100 feet is 1.2 times higher
1,000 feet is 1.4 times higher
600 feet is 4 times higher
120 feet is 100 times higher
EMF Advice, In some nations, the recommended safe distance is around 400 meters (about a quarter of
a mile) from the antenna. However, there are other sources, that suggest maintaining a buffer of 300-400
meters (984 -1,312 feet) [2]."
The study, "Epidemiological Evidence for a Health Risk from Mobile Phone Base Stations" reviewed other
studies [3]."
The study, table 1 shows for the tower distance:
2004 German study by Eger,
3 times the risk of cancer after 5 years less than 400 meters (1,312 feet) and cancer was at an earlier age.
2004 Israel study by Wolf and Wolf,
4 times the risk of cancer after 3 to 7 years,
less than 350 meters (1,148 feet) and cancer was at an earlier age.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US.
Please honor the people that passed from EMF tower radiation and not let their deaths be in vain.
The continuing trend will take younger and younger lives
