HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0232.025 2024-2026P/Council till 44 COMM From: Kanani Kapuniai Sent: Tuesday, June 3, 2025 4:21 PM To: Council Testimony Subject: Letter of Support for County Council Bill No.44 scheduled to be heard June 4, 2025 I TESTIFY TO STRONGLY SUPPORT COUNTY COUNCIL BILL NO.44, THE PURPOSE BEING TO EXEMPT HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS BENEFICIARY LESSEES OF RESIDENTIAL, FARM, SUBSISTENCE FARM, AND PASTORAL LEASES ON FEDERAL TRUST LANDS FROM REAL PROPERTY TAXES, EXCEPT FOR A MINIMUM TAX County Council Bill No. 44 would align with taxation policies in other counties of the State and would provide financial relief. We appreciate County Councilman James F. Hustace (District 9) efforts to co-author this bill with Council Member Inaba (District 8) on our behalf!!
