Subject: Opposed to Bill 47
I adamantly opposed to Bill 47. 1 am not an STVR host but I have friends and neighbors who are. This will
hurt them. Even though it's presented as simple registration, it's anything but.
I urge all the councilmembers to please vote no on the final passage of this bill tomorrow. It will cause so
many kupuna and others to lose their income! As we enter into an extremely slow tourist season, with a
possible recession, this bill will make hosting rentals from your home profoundly more difficult.
expensive and risky.
The fines and penalties are simply outrageous and are intended to punish and discourage anyone from
doing it.
At least defer this measure until the economic impact study is completed. The bill needs work!
I live in District 6 and will no longer cast a vote for Ms. Galimba if she supports it. o
