I believe there should be no voting on any bill related to STVRs or TARS at the moment until the economic impact study is completed. The local economy is very delicate the this bill is not thought out. I fully support regulations in the STVR and TAR industry in Hawaii county. But it needs to be thought through. There should be regulations regarding safety standards, health conditions and parking requirements for the TARS and STVRs. If someone is renting their property they need to have a registered permit and pay proper taxes. I agree with all of that. Where I disagree is the fact that this bill will harm people that depend on this income in order to afford the properties. It is expensive to build a home or buy a home on the island. Some can only afford it if they can rent out the home. I see this bill as an opportunity to illegally take without due compensation to the home owners that rent as a TAR or STVR. You should not be voting on anything until a Proper impact study is completed and you know the ramifications of the actions of these bill proposals. Please withhold your votes until you have the full picture and cause financial harm to others. Thanks, G Comm. No Justin Cleveland Ref. To: 1 Ref. Date JUG - 4
