Bill 47 (and any other restrictions on our ability to respectfully provide reasonably priced housing, whether short or long term) should be completely and permanently abandoned by the Council! As the owners/managers of a vacation rental home that we don't live at, but live nearby on the Big Island, we have always followed your existing cumbersome rules and procedures. We have also timely paid our TAT, SCTAT, GE, and property taxes to support wasteful county operations. This rule is just the latest complex effort to destroy an industry that provides an alternative service to exorbitant hotel rates. Sharing a private home with others at reasonable rates is one of the more visible examples of ALOHA! We have a government to provide services that individuals cannot easily handle individually, not set up complex systems to destroy livelihoods of those who pay your salariesH Hartley and Magdalene Phillips Sent from my Wad Camnn. ©R4W Rcf. 0: 1 Ref.
