I'm opposed to Bill 47 because it grants the county excessive discretion and power to unilaterally cancel
a STVR. This raises concerns about fairness, particularly if similar rules don't apply to hotels and lodges.
For instance, can a hotel license be canceled as easily?
Additionally, I think it's reasonable to allow property owners to designate a representative to handle
issues, similar to how hotel owners can hire staff. The current wording seems overly restrictive,
effectively requiring owners to be constantly present on the island with no flexibility. This doesn't seem
Logical or practical.
