Aloha,
I oppose bill47.
If you feel that vacation rentals must be further regulated, PLEASE start with the ones operated by out of
state owners. This accounts for over half of them!
Let's allow residents and their families to own a vacation rental on their property, support agro tourism
which has a much smaller carbon footprint, and keep our residents here rather than them moving off
island to make a living and afford their own home.
I have always asked why the public does not find out about these bills until last minute, or not at all! You
have my information and are happy to tax me, but don't want to provide info on these bills?

Where is the economic impact study that was supposed to be done? Will it be done without bias?
I am all for rental owners paying their fair share of taxes. I do every quarter. So, have the ones that are not
registered pay the fines and they be the ones that need to go through the registration process. Don't
punish those of us who for years on end have been doing everything asked of us.
