A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF HAWAI
‘I YMCA FOR ITS FIRST RESPONDERS’ KIDS’ DAY CAMP.
WHEREAS, the Island of Hawai‘i YMCA (YMCA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is guided by the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and is dedicated to giving
people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity; and
WHEREAS, the YMCA is requesting funds for staff salaries and wages and administrative expenses, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests
of public health and welfare, culture and the arts, and the needs of the youth; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaiʻi County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief
funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to the Island of Hawai‘i YMCA for the expenses and purposes identified
in “Exhibit A,” a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
