RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF A ONE-YEAR SUBSCIPTION FOR MAGNET GRAYKEY FORENSIC ACCESS TOOL FROM OUR RESCUE
WHEREAS, c is donating a one-year subscription and access to Magnet GrayKey Essentials, Magnet Axiom Advanced, and Axiom Advanced GrayKey training, valued at approximately $24,102.50
to the County of Hawai‘i Police Department; and
WHEREAS, this forensic tool will be utilized to advance law enforcement efforts in combatting human trafficking and child exploitation; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Charter of the County of Hawai‘i provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or
other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai‘i County Code states that any gifts or donations
of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Charter of the County
of Hawai‘i, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai‘i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai‘i accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of Management, the Department of Finance and the Police Department.
