1 <br />RESOLUTION <br />!r, i <br />i <br />WHEREAS, the Big Island Dance Council, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, supports, <br />promotes, and encourages the art of dance on the Island of Hawaii through education, classes, <br />performances, and networking; and <br />WHEREAS, the Big Island Dance Council is requesting funds for the rental of the <br />University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Center, lighting, audio, and projection equipment <br />usage, and a specialized dance floor, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, <br />or promoting the interests of educational concerns, culture and the arts, and the needs of the <br />youth; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Big Island Dance Council for the <br />expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />APPROPRIATION: $3,049 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $3,049 <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $3,049 <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc.
