Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the University of Hawaii in Hilo (UH
Hilo). The agreement is in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding which would clarify
the expectations of each party and facilitate the successful admission and enrollment of HPD
police officers as students in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in the Administration of Justice
program at UH Hilo and to provide continued professional development for HPD officers.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Major Jeremie Evangelista of the Police
Department at 961-2262.
