Subject: Testimony in Opposition to proposed Bill 060 an ordinance amending Chapter 25, Article 1, Article 2, Article 4,
Article 5, and Article 7 of the Hawaii County Code
1983 (2016 edition, as amended), relating to zoning district regulations for meeting facilities, churches, temples,
synagogues, and community buildings.
I am writing in opposition to the proposed Bill 060 that would prohibit churches from gathering before 8:00 AM and after
9:00 PM I feel like this bill is infringing on our consitutional right to have religious gatherings.
Our church frequently has meetings in the early morning and youth and sport activities that sometimes go until 11 PM.
This bill will limit our ability to provide these activities for our youth, conregational members and the community as a
whole.
For these reasons, I humbly request that you VOTE IN OPPOSITION to Hawai'i County Bill 060.
