Motion to Approve: Mr. Inaba moved to recommend adoption of
Res. 197-25. Seconded by Ms. Villegas.
CHR. KIMBALL: With the Council Members leeway, I will just introduce this
item. It has been in the works since my first day, I think, on County Council
when Vance (Fujii) called me and said we'd like to dedicate this roadway to the
County. For those of you familiar with Papa`aloa, this is the road that goes
straight down from the highway to the general store. We have actually been
maintaining it as the County for quite some time, although it is privately owned.
It has taken quite a bit of finagling to get this to this point where we take it over as
the dedication. It's actually particular important as that's the one way in and one
way out of that area with the actual other road that goes by the park is closed due
to the bridge being repaired. So happy to finally have this before us and ask for
your support. We do have Corporation Counsel here and I believe we may have
Melanie DeMello online if there are questions for DPW (Department of Public
Works) on this matter. Any discussion? Alright, great. Seeing none. All those
in favor please say "aye."
