COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 238 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HILO <br />DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT FOUNDATION FOR ITS 4TH OF JULY BLOCK <br />PARTY. <br />WHEREAS, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Foundation (HDIF) is a 501(c)(3) <br />nonprofit organization that financially supports the activities and events of the Hawaii <br />Downtown Improvement Association, whose goals are to protect, preserve, and create a vibrant <br />downtown Hilo for all to enjoy; and <br />WHEREAS, the HDIF is requesting funds for tables, chairs, vendor tents, and a tent for <br />entertainment which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the <br />interests of culture and the arts, as well as the public health and welfare of the people and the <br />environment; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Hilo Downtown Improvement <br />Foundation for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,100 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />.yR071110ba1193 <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc.
