A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF SECURITY
CAMERA SYSEMS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAVI
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
WHEREAS, Blue Shield Security Hawaii is donating security camera systems to
the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $4,500, will be installed at the
Pana`ewa Park and Covered Play Courts in Pana`ewa Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of
this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Blue Shield Security Hawaii, Attn: Lon Apaka, 3049 Ualena Street,
Suite 715, Honolulu, HI 96819, acknowledging this generous donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this

resolution to the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Department of Finance, and the
Office of Management.
