Re: Resolution for multi -year agreement
Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a resolution to transfer $5,000 out of the Liquor Control Public Programs account
and to credit it to the General Fund Sundry Refund account. On May 7, 2025, Resolution
Number 154-25 was adopted transferring an appropriation of $5,000 from Contingency Relief
funds to the Department of Liquor Control for a grant to Na Pulapula Inc. These funds were to
be used towards expenses related to their Kea`au Family Fun Day event. The department is
requesting that the funds be returned to the General Fund as an agreement with Na Pulapula Inc.
could not be executed.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Reso No 154-25, approved by the County Council on May 7, 2025: appropriation for $5,000, from Council
District 5 to non-profit organzation Na Pulapula, Inc. Grant was not awarded due to the organization being
unable to provide documentation for Proof of Liability Insurance as required in the District Contingency Fund
Grant Agreement.
