A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO USA VOLLEYBALL INC.
FOR ITS 2025 HAWAIʻI ISLAND LABOR DAY CLASSIC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT.
WHEREAS, USA Volleyball Inc. (UVI), doing business as Moku O Keawe, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, whose mission is to: 1) develop, standardize, and coordinate volleyball activities
on the local level, 2) develop players, coaches, and officials on the local level, 3) provide opportunities for members to participate and improve their volleyball skills in a competitive,
safe, and healthy environment, and 4) stimulate participation and growth at all levels of play; and
WHEREAS, UVI is requesting funds for facility rental expenses, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the needs of the youth; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaiʻi County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief
funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to UVI for the expenses and purposes identified in “Exhibit A,” a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
