Fie: Nomination of Gary C. Davis of Council District 6 to the Ka`u Community Development
Plan Action Committee
Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members,
I am pleased to nominate Mr. Gary C. Davis of Council District 6 to the Ka'u Community
Development Plan Action Committee (KCDPAC).
A graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kap5lama, Gary has deep roots in our community and a
strong commitment to its future. After dedicating many years to the County of Hawaii's
Department of Environmental Management, he retired in 2023, bringing with him a wealth of
knowledge and experience.
Gary's passion for community service is evident through his active participation in local
initiatives. He has volunteered with organizations such as 'O Ka'u Kakou, The Food Basket, and
Vibrant Hawai'i, demonstrating his dedication to supporting and uplifting those around him. His
ongoing efforts reflect his genuine concern for the growth and well-being of Kau Island.
With a strong desire to contribute to the future of our community, Gary is eager to serve on the
KCDPAC. His commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all residents aligns perfectly with
the mission of the committee.
If confirmed, Mr. Davis's term will end on December 31, 2028. If you have any questions, please
