Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to appropriate $425,000 of federal funds for
the Onomea Camp Road Bridge Replacement project. An existing wooden
bridge that is structurally and functionally deficient will be replaced with a
concrete bridge that meets current standards.

Public Works.

A. REQUEST:
Request funds in the amount of $425,000 for Onomea Camp Road Bridae
Renlacement. This is the total Federal share for this project and will
be entirely reimbursable. The County share for the project has already
been allotted.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The project proposes to replace an existing wooden bridge that is
structurally and functionally deficient with a new concrete bridge that
meets current standards.
Federal funds for construction were authorized by FHWA on April 28,
1998. Construction plans are nearing completion, and construction is
planned for this summer.
Attached are copies of related HDOT and FHWA documents supporting the
project.
