Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to appropriate $200,000 for the Paniolo
Drive Sidewalk Improvements project. There are presently no sidewalk between
the Waikoloa Baptist Church and Laie Street. School children and other
pedestrians walk on the paved roadway area due to the lack of a sidewalk.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of
Public Works.

Request for funding to include the following public improvement
project to be funded by General Obligation Bonds, Capital Project,
Fund Balance, and/or other sources:
Paniolo Drive Sidewalk Improvements: $200,000.00
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
This request is for design and construction funds for the Paniolo
Drive Sidewalk Improvements project. There are presently no
sidewalk between the Waikoloa Baptist Church and Laie Street.
School children and other pedestrians are presently walking in the
paved roadway area due to the lack of a sidewalk.
